PSA Grading
On this page you can read more about the journey your cards are on when they are to be graded at PSA!
This page is divided into two areas which first describe the process with us (LetsGradeCards) and then the process your cards go through at PSA.
The process at LetsGradeCards
Step 1: Selection of cards
As a collector and investor, selecting the cards to be sent for grading is one of the most difficult parts of the entire grading process. There can be a lot of considerations that underlie your choices. Our recommendation at LetsGradeCards is that you choose with your heart. Research can help you a lot in terms of which cards make the most sense to choose.
Step 2: Order on our website!
Once you have selected your cards to be graded, you must place an order on our website. First, you choose which company your cards are to be graded with. When you have chosen a grading company, you must choose which service type they are to be graded on. Typically, you pay more to get your cards home faster. At PSA, the services we offer are called "Bulk", "Value+", "Regular", "Reholder" and "Dual Grade" - You can read more about the individual service types under questions and answers (https://letsgradecards.dk/pages/faq)
When you have chosen your service level, you must place the number of cards in your basket that you wish to grade. The more you place in your basket, the cheaper the price per card! - Our website calculates your volume discount for you. You can see our discount ladder here: https://letsgradecards.dk/pages/psa-grading
When you're done, access your basket and go through our payment module, enter your details so we can send your cards back when they're done and pay. It is also possible for you to choose that you would like to pick up your order when it is finished at Matraws in KBH or Matraws in Odense. When you have paid, our system sends an order confirmation to the email you have entered in your order.
Step 3: Send or drop off your cards
When your cards have been ordered on our webshop, you must send or deliver your cards to us. If you choose to send us your cards, we prefer that you use GLS and use a parcel shop (see detailed description for this under "Questions & Answers). As we are not at our address all the time, this can cause operational disruptions with "home delivery". We collect cards from GLS 1-2 times a week.
Our address/es can be found at the top of the Questions & Answers page.
You can also use one of our business partners who can accept cards for us. See more info on the Hotspots page.
We collect cards from our Hotspots 1-2 times a month, typically in connection with a deadline.
Step 4: When we receive your cards
When we get possession of your cards, whether they have been sent via general freight or delivered to a Hotspot, we take a picture of your package and send you an email confirming that we are now in possession of your cards.
Step 5: Video documentation
When we open your package, we videotape the process and upload your video to a folder in our CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE.
When we finish a given submission for all customers, we send you a link to your email that gives you access to your video and overview. We will send this link when we are finished, and it may therefore take some time from the time we receive your package until you receive your email with your video and overview! - It's completely normal!
Step 6: Overview
After we have video-documented your order, our team sits down and enters your cards into PSA's system. We follow PSA's card naming to produce an overview of your cards for you. Your overview will be located in your personal folder in our CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE.
Step 7: Packing for Shipping
Once all our orders are safely handled, we package all cards for shipping, where we use UPS to ship our cards for grading.
Step 8: Tracking on the website
When your cards have been sent with UPS, we update the status on the tracking page - here you can follow the process of your cards, by finding your order number. We update our website with all the knowledge and info we have, as often and as often as our time allows. If an order has not been updated for some time, it is because we have no new knowledge or info to share with our customers.

The process at PSA
Step 1: Receiving order (delivery)
Our order arrives at PSA in the US, where our package starts by sitting in their huge warehouse which receives thousands of packages on a daily basis.
Step 2: Scanning of package (Arrival)
On our package there is a label as a PSA scanner. When this is done, we receive a notification from PSA that our package has arrived.
Step 3: Order Entry
Our order is reviewed and entered into PSA's internal system. An order number is assigned and our personal information is removed. This eliminates the potential for bias throughout the grading process at PSA.
Step 4: Certificate numbers
A certificate number will be placed on each card in our order. This number follows your cards throughout the process, and will appear on your "label" when the card is finished and "slabbed" by PSA.
Step 5: Research (Phase 3) (Research Department)
Research is an important part of grading and also takes up a lot of space at PSA. PSA reviews all our cards and ensures that the naming entered is correct, so that the correct one will appear on our "labels".
Step 6: Grading (Phase 4)
Our cards are analyzed one by one and evaluated by PSA's professional graders.
Step 7: Label (The PSA Lighthouse Label)
When our cards are finished in the Grading department at PSA, they move on to their Label department, which prints all our labels.
Step 8: Assembly (Phase 5) (The sealing department)
PSA now takes our card, as well as the corresponding label and places both parts in their PSA holder. Here, the PSA holder is welded together under ultra-high-frequency sound from both sides, so that the plastic melts together, in a so-called "sonic welding" machine. The card is simply sealed completely inside the holder and you now have a "slab" - this is called "slabbing".
Step 9: Quality check 1 (Phase 6) - (Grade Check)
When all cards are "slabbed" they are received for the first quality control. Here there is another grader who checks our card and verifies whether the assessment of our card is correct. If there is a conflict in this part of the process, PSA rewinds and redoes parts of the process in order to provide a high level of service. If you as a customer on our website experience that an order is at a standstill in this phase, it may be because an error has been found during a quality check.
Step 10: Quality Check 2 (Phase 7) - (Quality Assurance)
After the first quality check, there is another quality check which checks the PSA case and our label for errors. As in Step 9, delays in the process can occur if errors are detected that must be corrected before they can move forward in the process.
Step 11: Price Check
PSA now checks whether our card is within the limit (in terms of price - also called MAX DECLARED VALUE) at the service level you have chosen. If PSA assesses that you are above the limit, they send an email to LetsGradeCards and ask for written acceptance of whether you want to accept their "upcharge". (upcharge means that you will be met with an extra bill)
If LetsGradeCards is met with an upcharge from PSA, we will write an email to the affected customer. As a customer, you must give us written acceptance that you will pay the extra bill. If you choose to say no to your "upcharge", PSA takes your card out of its PSA holder and sends the card home without it being sealed. One's original grading fee is still deducted.
Step 12: Return shipping (Phase 8) - (Shipping)
Our cards will now be packaged and sent back to LetsGradeCards.
FedEx picks up our order and ships it back to Denmark!
Step 13: Card Return - (Received at LGC)
When LetsGradeCards receives an order from FedEx, it may take us up to five business days to process the entire order. If we are exceptionally busy, it can take up to 10 working days to complete the process!
If we have an extraordinary amount of time available, we can come up with a live stream on our YouTube channel. We show your cards, but we tell never who the owner is!
When we have completely finished our processing of your cards, we hand them back to you, based on the delivery method you chose when you placed your order on our webshop, at the very beginning of the process.
